Braindead Brewing
2625 Main Street
Dallas, Texas

I'm a little late writing this, but this past week has been a busy one! Two chicks went to Deep Ellum again for lunch...what a surprise! We made a last minute decision to try Braindead Brewing.
This spot seems to stay packed with customers, so why not! We went on a beautiful Saturday and of course they were very busy.
It's located at the corner of Main Street and you can see the city from this spot. They have outdoor eating on their deck, but it was packed so we had to dine inside.
Inside is definitely modern and has the bar/brewery vibe and decor. You pretty much seat yourself.
Tameca and I were both starving by the time we got there! The menu isn't large, which can be a good thing...key word CAN!
I opted for the Shepard's pie. As an Irish American I love to try it everywhere I go!
There was a bit of a wait but in their defense it was packed with people!
When my meal did arrive it definitely was picture worthy, even though it was far from the traditional look of Shepard's pie. The menu did specify what it consisted of but I was still surprised. It is Texas lamb, pearl onion, carrot, red pepper, lamb gravy, tallow crust and sour cream potatoes.
Needless to say I did not like it at all!!! It just had a strange taste that did not settle with my stomach!
I ate about half because I was starving! Otherwise, I would not have eaten anymore past the second bite!
The staff is polite but not very attentive.
When we asked for our check it came in a child's book! Everyone gets a different book and seems to leave a message in theirs, what a cute idea! Here is mine pictured below! #twochicksandatip
The atmosphere was fun but the food I will pass on. My guess is this would be a better spot to have a drink! I don't drink so I will not be returning!
We did get some cute pics though!LOL There is cool art work outside which is why it's always fun to dine in Deep Ellum!
I give Braindead Brewing,
